CM-015: Inspired by the painting by Conrad Wise Chapman, THE BOMBARDMENT OF FT. MOULTRIE, we have created a gun crew. CM-015 is holding a wooden rammer used to ram the powder and shell into the gun.The length of the shaft and the shape of the rammer is as found from a drawings obtained from the national archives and is precisely to scale. The soldier is in a shell jacket and can be either Union or Confederate. The collection complements the Old Steam Navy Coastal Guns availble on this web site. This figure was painted by Frank Albritton.
