CM-012: This member of the gun crew is holding a sponge to cool the barrel after firing. The size, the shape of the sponge, and the length of the shaft is identical to those found in the national archives for a Rodman, a Parrott, and a Columbiad. There is a famous photograph of several Confederates on the parapet of Ft.
